Our Philosophy

We invest where most won't — and build what most can't.

Emerging markets aren't a sleeve, an allocation, or a frontier bet. They're where the next two decades of value creation will happen — for builders, operators, and the capital patient enough to participate at the operating layer. This is the operating philosophy MIG was founded on.

Operating Principles

Four convictions that compound across decades.

  1. 01

    Operate, don't allocate

We don't buy minority paper exposure. We hold operating control, sit on the board, and run the business — because that's where alpha lives in emerging markets.

  2. 02

    Generational time horizons

Emerging markets compound across cycles, not quarters. We structure for 15-year holds and longer when the asset warrants it. Patience is our edge.

  3. 03

    Vertical integration

Energy, agriculture, infrastructure, and now sports & entertainment — we go vertical to control unit economics, supply chains, and exit optionality.

  4. 04

    Aligned local partnership

Every market entry is paired with a sovereign, family office, or operator who has skin in the game and a 20-year view. We don't parachute in.

Manifesto

Institutional capital deserves institutional access to growth markets. We exist to bridge the gap between the sophistication of global LPs and the opportunity in operating businesses across emerging economies.
